This Fourth of July is a big one. America turns 250, and that’s not something that happens twice in a lifetime. So we wanted to celebrate it the way we celebrate everything around here: by shining a light on the military and first responder families building businesses, one product at a time.

For the 250th, we pulled together some of our favorite red, white, and blue finds and the small businesses behind them.
America’s pastime, made by military families
Baseball is basically the unofficial mascot of summer in this country, so it gets a mention too. Grit and Grace Embroidery makes “Baseball Mama” sweatshirts with side bows and a tiny personalized heart on the sleeve, the kind of thing that becomes a dugout staple for a whole season. Meaningful military and first responder gifts
