Kathryn is a pediatric therapist, author, mother, and military spouse of 15 years. She wrote her first best-selling book, My Flight Suit Pocket, to support the connection between military parents and their children through one of the many pockets found in a flight suit.
She is now expanding this story to support more military families through her new book, My Uniform Pocket. Mom and dad versions of My Flight Suit Pocket are available, and though My Uniform Pocket is only available for fathers in uniforms now, Kathryn is currently working on a mom edition!
As a pediatric therapist, Kathryn understands the profound impact that the parent-child relationship has on a child’s development and well-being. She hopes that her work strengthens and supports these bonds, especially during the deployments, extended travel, and long days required of our military service members.
Drawing from her perspective as an occupational therapist, she creatively uses an everyday object (a pocket!) to strengthen the connection between parents and childrenโฆa connection that can endure across miles and time.
