Product: Wood Art and Laser Engraved Gifts

I’m Shequita, the owner and maker behind Quita Brew Creates — a veteran-owned, faith-filled small business specializing in laser-engraved gifts and custom wood art.

What started in a corner of our bedroom and transitioned into our garage and grown into a creative outlet that allows me to blend craftsmanship, encouragement, and faith in every piece I make.

When I left the Army, I didn’t take the time to truly discover what I would be good at or enjoy. I shifted straight into corporate work, hoping it would fill that gap, but it never quite did. I found myself searching for something that felt more meaningful — something that reflected who I was becoming outside of the uniform.

It wasn’t until my husband encouraged me to take a step back and explore my creative side that things began to shift. I started making a few small items just for fun, and I fell in love with the process — the designing, the hands-on work, the chance to create something that could make someone smile.

That’s how Quita Brew Creates was born — out of obedience, curiosity, and a renewed sense of purpose. Today, it’s more than a business. It’s a way to serve others, share my faith, and remind people of the beauty that comes from creating with heart and intention.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

My favorite part of being on Spouse-ly is the community. It’s inspiring to see so many families who often live in the unpredictable still finding time to create, build, and share what they love. There’s something really special about being part of a space where creativity, resilience, and support come together.

Product: Sewing, Bracelets, Wood working, 3D Printing

I started 2 Pilots 1 Shop while navigating postpartum depression since I always felt better when I was making and creating.

We had already made so many things for our kids and our home, so it seemed like the obvious choice for starting a business. My husband is an active-duty Air Force pilot, and I am an Air National Guard pilot which is how we came up with 2 Pilots 1 Shop. Opening this shop has been such a rewarding way to connect with others, support fellow military families, and share a piece of our hearts through handmade creations. From 3D printed cookie cutters and squadron swag to custom gifts and accessories, we have something for everyone.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

I’m so grateful to be part of the Spouse-ly community. Monica has fostered a space for military families to grow, flourish, and spark joy for others. It feels like I have my very own personal cheering squad!

Product: Military Base Map Prints

As a military family, we know what its like to move from city to city.

Home Base Maps was born out of a desire to commemorate all the places we’ve called home with simple, beautiful maps. My husband (the tech guy in our family) uses mapping software to create the layouts for each map. I use my graphic design day job to refine the layouts, add color and text, and make them into the final product. We then print and package each map in our home studio.

We created Home Base Maps out of a desire to tell our military family’s story with gallery wall-worthy art. We are so honored to help you do the same!

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

I love being a seller on Spouse-ly because it gives me the opportunity to share my work with a community that truly understands the military lifestyle. Being part of Spouse-ly allows me to connect with customers who appreciate the story behind each piece I create, while also helping me grow my business in an environment built on connection, purpose, and pride.

Product: Art and Paintings

Hello! I’m Alexis, a former ICU nurse and tech consultant.

I started Lyons Art Studios with the intention of not only being able to pursue my dream of being an artist with my own studio, but also to have flexibility to support my service member. I’m immensely proud of my husband’s work and though there can be challenges some days with the military I still marvel at the things I get to do as a USAF spouse! Being able to share the work I get so much joy creating is something my 11 year old self would be geeking out about! My paintings are inspired by nature and travel and are infused with bright colors ( I have a small obsession with color!).

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

Spouse-ly is not only a platform that allows people such as myself to put my work out into the world, but a community who shows up for each other whether we’re in person or virtual. In the few months I have been part of the Spouse-ly family I have had the best support and encouragement in getting my shop set up allowing me to make my first sales. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Services: Web & Sales Copy

Hi, I’m Kathryn—Navy spouse, mom of three, and the creative behind By Kathryn Butler, where I help online business owners turn their big ideas into compelling copy that actually sells.

I started my business in the margins of military life—nap times, PCS moves, and late-night work sessions—after years of working in museums and marketing. Like many military spouses, I wanted work that was meaningful, flexible, and portable. Copywriting gave me all three. What began with blog posts and brand bios quickly grew into full-scale web copy projects and launch campaigns for women-led businesses across the country.

Today, I specialize in strategic storytelling and conversion copy, blending personality with polish so my clients feel confident and proud every time someone lands on their site.

Wherever we’re stationed, I’m grateful I get to build something of my own—while helping others grow theirs.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

What I love most about being part of Spouse-ly is connecting with other military spouses and veterans who are building businesses in the middle of real life—moves, deployments, and all. The support here is genuine, the talent is incredible, and it’s encouraging to be in a space where everyone understands the unique challenges we face and still shows up with creativity and drive.

Product: Marriage books

Drawing from my journey as a seasoned military spouse, homeschool mama, Down syndrome advocate, and nationally recognized educator…

I wrote Mission-Ready Marriage and Stop Being a _______ Wife to help women transform their hearts and strengthen their marriages. I write to cultivate wild hope—hope that endures even in lifestyles marked by constant change and challenge. After twelve military moves, my family is currently stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where I live with my aviator and our four extraordinarily spirited children.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

These discovery emails have become my favorite part of Spouse-ly. Over the years, they’ve introduced me to thoughtful, one-of-a-kind items I’ve been proud to gift—and every purchase feels even more meaningful knowing it supports a fellow service family.

Product: Custom woodwork and engraving

I began woodworking to fill needs around the house; a shoe rack here, a corner liquor cabinet there, and a dining room table to fit friends and family for holiday meals.

In 2022 I decided to buy a laser engraver and try my hand at design. As I started, I had the same thought most military makers have, “I’ll make plaques for my unit, and a cutting board or two”. Well after a quick call with legal, I found out I couldn’t sell to my own branch and keep my job, so I had to look for another target audience.

Through social media posts and word of mouth, I grew my customer base, and made a variety of projects, rarely making the same one twice. As I continue to design, build, and almost cut my finger off, what I find I truly enjoy the most is taking the descriptions of what my customers are looking for and turning it into a physical product they love.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

Spouse-ly is unique because of how well the company markets for their sellers. Any post I make is quickly reposted to a larger audience, and my work reaches more people than I ever thought. Their dedication to those who make is unparalleled.

Product: Handmade gemstone jewelry

I started Jasper & Elm during deployment and while I was in grad school to become a therapist.

I started making jewelry as a form of art therapy, and as I expanded J&E I realized I wanted to pursue it full time. Fast forward 4 years, and J&E has grown more than I could have imagined. With my background in nonprofit management and events, I work to make sure that the business is able to provide donations to various organizations and causes during the year.

As an active duty Navy spouse, it has been amazing to be able to take this business from coast to coast alongside the support of organizations like Spouse-ly. In the future, my husband and are hoping to make this a brick & mortar endeavor.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

I love the support from other vendors – such wonderful hype people! I also love having an outlet other than Etsy, which takes such a gigantic cut of of your profits. Spouse-ly genuinely cares about their people.

Product: Keepsakes made from military uniform fabric

My name is Jennifer but you can call me Jen. I am the creator of the original, military uniform ornament ball.

My soldier and my first duty station together was Fort Drum, “Climb to Glory!” While there, I worked at the base alterations shop where I found myself inspired to re purpose old Army Uniforms in unique ways.

When the Army expired ACU’s in 2014, I didn’t want to give my husband’s uniforms to secondhand stores or throw them away so I created the military uniform ornament ball. After a year of private sales, the ornaments were added to my shop. Eventually it was time to PCS to Fort Bliss. It was then, that making these one of a kind ornaments became my full time passion.

After 22 years of service it was time for Sergeant First Class, Souza to retire! This wonderful man was a soldier his entire adult life and we were excited to start a new chapter bringing us back to our home state of Maine with my two daughters.

Mr. Souza is now a welder and I continue to create and provide exceptional customer service at Freedom Balls.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

My favorite thing about Spousely is how the platform has grown my network of like-minded people. I have met so many other women and other great business owners that have helped me grow in the past two years since joining Spousely. I have fun collaborating with other vendors and it has been so beneficial to have other small business owners to learn from and share my experiences with. I’ve finally found my community.

Product: Handmade, nature-based artisan herbal soaps and skincare products

Hi there! I’m Amy- a proud Air Force spouse, full-time mom, and spare-time soap-maker.

I started White-Tail Soap after falling completely and unexpectedly in love with cold-process soap-making in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As someone who has spent a lifetime struggling with allergies of all sorts, I have found such empowerment in creating soaps and skincare products that I know will be nourishing, instead of irritating or even harmful, to my and my family’s skin.

I have always found something magical about harvesting herbs, fruits, and vegetables straight from the garden, and I love using vitamin-rich plants, clays, milks, and raw honey in my recipes for added skin benefits. The creative process of making soap and skincare products with naturally and sustainably sourced ingredients brings me so much joy (and healthier skin!), which is why I decided to begin selling what I make. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my craft with others, and hope it brings you joy as well.

Love, Amy

Services: Website & Digital Marketing Strategy

In true “military story” fashion,

I spent over 20 years in the restaurant industry in my hometown of Oahu, Hawaiʻi before meeting my husband who was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Mililani, Oahu.

We fell in love, got married, and, at 40 years old and with one child, we received orders to move to Fort Polk, Louisiana—an environment vastly different from what I was used to. During this time, I focused on my mommy blog and developed new skills I never realized would become the foundation for my own business. By chance, a colleague from Hawaiʻi asked if I would manage their social media, email marketing, and website. I jumped at the opportunity, and from there, my new venture took off.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

The community. Monica has created something that really shines the light on the military community and its entrepreneurial go-getters!

Product: Moving Supplies

I launched BoxOps in early 2020 after a horrible moving experience the year prior, with the goal of creating tools that will significantly improve the moving process from start to finish.

What began as a small vendor table at a local military function has now expanded to global sales across the US, Canada, and government/military bases worldwide. While we serve both military and civilian communities, the military experience is at the heart of “why” we started this business.

Every product is crafted from real-life personal experiences with the intent to streamline various aspects of relocation and to help relieve the immense burden of such a stressful and overwhelming life event. Our customers range from everyday moving clients to business professionals like realtors who are looking for unique and practical gifts.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

I love the mission of Spouse-ly, which is to empower military spouses and veteran-owned businesses and to bring together the military community to easily support and uplift our own. I appreciate the platform because it makes it so much simpler for military families to shop and support products crafted with their needs in mind.

Product: Fine Handmade Jewelry

I’m Erin, owner and creative director of The Dainty Forces Company.

I am a military spouse of an incredible husband and mom to three huskies. We are currently stationed on the beautiful island of Oahu where we have been for the last 4 years.

During my time here, I worked as a diamond sales specialist for over 3 years, and in late 2022 I decided to quit my job to pursue a career in my degree field. Shortly after switching careers, I was let go due to budget cuts from what I thought was my dream job. I did not have a plan or a vision and was confused about what my next steps in life were. Reflecting back on the time I spent working in fine jewelry, I knew that I had a passion for helping people tell their stories through pieces of jewelry. But to me, jewelry is more than a piece of metal, it’s a moment, a story, a meaning and I wanted to make a difference.

Being a military spouse, there are so many leaps and bounds you conquer while your service member is away, and that is why I started to create meaningful pieces of jewelry that bring joy to whoever wears them and create a special meaning behind each piece. Each piece is carefully hand-crafted from high-quality materials with your story in mind. From our family to yours, we’re thankful you’re here.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?

My favorite part about being a part of Spouse-ly is the incredible opportunity to connect with others in our community. It’s so fulfilling to build relationships with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and support each other’s journeys. The sense of belonging and the genuine connections I’ve made truly make the experience special.

Service: Fitness & Nutrition Coaching

Hi, I’m Grace! I’m the founder of FitPath Coaching, LLC and creator of PCS-Proof Fitness—a comprehensive program tailored specifically for Military Spouses & Women in Military Life who are tired of fitness solutions that don’t work for our unique, ever-changing lifestyle.

For the past five years, my mission at FitPath has been clear: empower women in military life to reclaim their health, build a “PCS-Proof” fitness routine, and never again feel like they have to put themselves or their goals on hold. I know firsthand how challenging it can be. When I first started my fitness journey, I had no idea what to do in the gym or how to eat to feel good in my own skin. I felt miserable in my body, disconnected from the strong, confident woman I used to be. It was frustrating to feel stuck—knowing I needed a change but not knowing where to start.

In 2012, I hired my first fitness coach, and for the first time in my life, I learned how to strength train—as a grown-ass woman! That journey helped me build strength, confidence, and self-worth. The transformation didn’t just change my body; it improved every area of my life—my career, my relationships, and most importantly, how I saw myself (and what I was truly capable of). It was life-changing. And from that moment on, I knew my mission was to help other women experience that same transformation.

Fast forward, and I’m now a Certified Personal Trainer, married to an Active Duty service member. I quickly realized that the traditional fitness models simply don’t work for us women navigating the military lifestyle. Most fitness programs don’t have the flexibility to adapt to our constantly shifting schedules and responsibilities. They aren’t designed for the mental load we carry, nor the unpredictability of relocations, deployments, and everything else we face.

That’s why I created PCS-Proof Fitness—a fitness solution designed for women in military life BY a woman in military life. It’s tested and approved by military spouses and active-duty women just like you, built to be Relocation-Proof. Deployment-Proof. TDY-Proof. You deserve more. You deserve a program that fits into your life and empowers you to achieve your fitness goals no matter where you are or what your schedule throws at you.

And you deserve a Coach who understands the unique challenges of military life, and who can provide the empathy & support that you need, so that you can finally stop putting yourself last and start building the strong, confident body—and life—you deserve!

Service: Bookkeeping support for mental health professionals

Hi! I’m Andrea, founder of Liquid Cents Bookkeeping. Helping therapists in business gain simple yet powerful knowledge from their numbers is what I love to do!

I’m passionate about this work because, like many of my clients, I’m on my own journey to build the life and financial stability I want for myself and my family. The idea for my business grew out of a major transition in our lives when my husband left the Coast Guard. As we planned for that change, one thing became clear, I wanted to build a career that allowed me to work from home while still making a meaningful impact.

My background in psychology, my experiences as a military spouse, and being the first-generation daughter of a business owner shaped my drive to connect with and support others. I believe people always come before profit, and I’m committed to helping therapists create sustainable businesses without sacrificing their own financial well-being.

“What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Spouse-ly?”

Launching a business can feel lonely and overwhelming, and those feelings only intensify as a military spouse. Spouse-ly reminded us that we were not alone, that we had a community to lean on and support each other. Plus, Monica made it really easy, simple, and accessible for use to set up our shops. Seeing others on similar journeys succeed as entrepreneurs is both inspiring and motivating. And shopping from fellow Spouse-ly members is incredibly rewarding. Knowing firsthand the impact it had on my family, I am proud to support and shop from them.

Product: Gift Sets

As a proud military wife made a mother by destiny, I soon realized the career I originally aspired for in nursing wasn’t aligning well with our growing family and my husband’s military commitment.

My heart’s desire for a supportive environment for my husband and nurturing care for my children led me to spearhead my journey in the business world.

Being a key cornerstone in our military family, I experienced firsthand the constancy of emotional challenges and the endeavor to maintain relationships throughout the ebbs and flows of distance. It was during these times, I found immense joy reflecting in my children’s eyes when they unwrapped heartwarming care packages from far-off family members. It was more than mere materialism; it was an embodiment of warmth, love, and thoughtfulness from loved ones who couldn’t physically stand by us.

These simple, yet meaningful gestures sparked an idea and hence my business journey initiated, fuelled by the desire to bring convenience to service members and their families across the globe. The path wasn’t smooth. Right when the foundation of my business was beginning to strengthen, my husband had to embark on back-to-back deployments.

Drawing strength from love and resiliency, I’ve turned these challenges into a humble and compassionate business, centered around hand-curating high-quality and worthy gift sets. Through this journey, I wish to help military families remain connected, imbibe acts of love and kindness and most importantly envelop them in warmth and comfort, wherever they are.

After spending a decade as a Navy spouse and having a background in the medical device industry…

I found the perfect opportunity to launch Sweet Blooms Confectionery when our youngest began school. My passion for baking has been nurtured since childhood, inspired by watching both of my grandmothers in the kitchen.

I initially started with cupcakes, then expanded to cakes, and eventually included stuffed cookies on the menu. I am truly grateful for the support of our community; without them, Sweet Blooms Confectionery wouldn’t be possible.

Product: All natural soy wax candles, all natural wax melts, herbal bath and body products

Growing up, I always had a fascination for making my own concoctions and learning about the environment, so much so, that I pursued a college degree in Environmental Science.

Once I became a mother I ended up putting my education on hold and became more dedicated to holistic medicine that was inspired by natural healing.

With the knowledge I’ve gained through reading books and attending workshops, I’ve developed a passion for creating natural products that are non-toxic for the home as well as for the body. This serves as the guiding principal for my business.

Our mission is to create a sensory experience that transcends ordinary moments, bringing joy and tranquility into the lives of our customers. We are committed to sustainability, ensuring that our products not only enhance well-being but also contribute to a healthier planet.

Through innovation, quality, and environmental consciousness, Blooming Sage aspires to be a beacon of mindful indulgence, inviting everyone to discover the beauty of nature’s essence in our thoughtfully crafted offerings.

Product: Lavender products and art

I am a Space Force spouse, and with the help of my teenage daughter we make handmade lavender goods and artwork.

The mission of Lost River Lavender is to make original, handmade products that are created with home-grown organic ingredients. The goods are designed to celebrate military life and to honor service members their families. My background is in agriculture, art, and photography!

Lost River Lavender provides me the opportunity to combine my passions and educational background. I create and design all the elements of our products and photograph them. When my husband was in ROTC at Utah State, he could not find anyone who would hire him. He was a non-traditional student who entered the Air Force at 32. The only place he could get a job was at a lavender farm up the street from us. He worked as a farm hand during the week, and then we would sell the products at the local market on Saturdays.

This began my love of lavender. I knew someday I wanted to have my own lavender farm. When we received our first base assignment, I was able to begin my dream of farming and have kept it alive at various degrees at base housing, suburbs, and homes where we have had a bit of acreage! My business has allowed be to bring military spouses together during harvest time and to host school field trips where the students get to learn about pollinators and environmental heath. I have loved bringing communities together and sharing my love of lavender along the way.

Product: Books for Military Children

Kathryn is a pediatric therapist, author, mother, and military spouse of 15 years. She wrote her first best-selling book, My Flight Suit Pocket.

Kathryn is a pediatric therapist, author, mother, and military spouse of 15 years. She wrote her first best-selling book, My Flight Suit Pocket, to support the connection between military parents and their children through one of the many pockets found in a flight suit.

She is now expanding this story to support more military families through her new book, My Uniform Pocket. Mom and dad versions of My Flight Suit Pocket are available, and though My Uniform Pocket is only available for fathers in uniforms now, Kathryn is currently working on a mom edition!

As a pediatric therapist, Kathryn understands the profound impact that the parent-child relationship has on a child’s development and well-being. She hopes that her work strengthens and supports these bonds, especially during the deployments, extended travel, and long days required of our military service members.

Drawing from her perspective as an occupational therapist, she creatively uses an everyday object (a pocket!) to strengthen the connection between parents and children…a connection that can endure across miles and time.

Service: Spouse Apparel and Spouse Care Packages

My name is Lenea (like Renee but with an L) and I am the owner of Grace Under Fire, LLC.

I am a stay-at-home and wanted to create something to give back to the spouse community with cute apparel and care packages.

When I relaunched my business in early 2024, the name was different, and I had no idea where I was going to go with it. But God had other plans.

The name “Grace Under Fire” has special meaning to me. My family and I have endured some pretty intense hardships over the past few years but no matter what we have not let it bring us down, rather we pushed through. A few years ago, I almost succumbed to Postpartum Depression and since then I regave my life to God and haven’t looked back.

2 Corinthians 2:8 says, ” We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair” and that is where the name “Grace Under Fire” came from. Having grace even through the hardship and torments.

That is the heart of my brand, to bring that same hope to those who are going through hard times, trials, and tribulations.

Service: Harris Financial Coaching

After transitioning out of the military, I found coping with the significant financial impact of leaving the military service challenging.

My husband and I worked together as civilians to learn how to manage our finances after his retirement. Being able to manage our finances successfully and becoming debt-free led me to start my own business to help other military veterans achieve their financial goals and successfully transition out of the military to live the life they deserve.

As a black female veteran, I’m passionate about being a role model and mentor to those who may not have easy access to financial information and resources. Guiding individuals before they reach a financial breaking point is crucial.

The mission of Harris Financial Coaching is to encourage, counsel, and educate others to understand and be able to handle their financial situations.

Product: The ABCs of PCS

Christina Boensel, Shannon Felgar, and Kristen Benslay teamed up to create a resource that would help their families understand their upcoming PCS moves while stationed together in Japan.

Along with all being Navy spouses, Christina is a veteran, Shannon is a teacher, and Kristen is an illustrator. Together, they used their many talents to create a resource that entertains, yet also informs and acts as a starting point for important conversations within a military family about the life change that is a military move.

We hope our book will also help your children to understand the process of a PCS, so they can begin to embrace their new adventure with their family. It is our honor to walk alongside your family during your time of transition.

Service: Aviation-themed Home Decor

In 2017 my husband and I were gearing up for a cross-country move with the Navy.

I had just finished my pre-requisites for nursing school but was waiting to apply anywhere until we got to our new duty station.

My husband, being the wise man that he is, bought me a “cutting machine” as a gift. He knew that it’s not good when I’m bored and if I didn’t have a new hobby when we got to Lemoore bored is exactly what I’d be.

A friend and I each cut a couple stencils out and painted those designs on to doormats for ourselves. When my neighbor on base saw this she said “you should do squadron logos!”

And that’s how it all begun! A nursing degree, license, and two kids later I don’t hand paint the designs anymore. I have them printed by a professional for a cleaner product. BUT, I do design them all myself and that had always been my favorite part.

I’ve since branched out into stickers and plan on expanding into more decor items for the home that stick to the aviation theme. I love creating these unique pieces and get so many compliments on them 😊

Let me make something for you!

Service: Travel Agency

I am a former teacher turned Active Duty Spouse and Mama when my husband switched from the Reserves to Active Duty in 2017. After dabbling in other “side hustles,” I decided to become a Travel Agent in 2021.

While I started focusing in Disney Destinations, I quickly fell in love with the travel industry and planning all kinds of vacations! In early 2024, I decided to take a leap and start my own Travel Agency.

I absolutely love getting to work with my clients to plan their dream vacations, honeymoons, homecoming trips, and more! Now I use my love of teaching paired with love of planning travel and I get to teach my agents how to do this job as well!

I love this business for many reasons but I especially love it as an Active Duty Spouse because I can work from home, no matter where home is.

Products: Custom Digital Illustrations & Prints

My name is Amanda and I am a mother by day and multiple hat wearer by night fall.

During the day, I dedicate myself to being a stay-at-home mother, and when the night falls, I take on multiple roles as a digital illustrator, content creator, and program director for a non-profit organization.

In 2023, the seed for Dalki Designs was planted when I created an adorable digital illustration of a strawberry – ‘dalki’ means strawberry in Korean, and it perfectly captures my love for all things sweet and creative. Upon reflection and discussions with dear friends, I realized that my artwork truly reflects who I am, my passions, and my growth.

My goal is to spread joy by transforming precious memories and favorite photos into stunning illustrations that showcase a high level of quality, artistry, and creativity. The prospect of collaborating with customers excites me, as I can bring their visions to reality and craft unique, tailor-made gifts that will hold a special place in the hearts of their loved ones for years to come.

Products: Military Inspired Art

My name is Tyler and I am an artist based in Randolph, Vermont.

I can’t tell you what the exact spark was that made me pick up a paintbrush at 36 years old, but I am having a blast exploring new mediums and creating feelings of nostalgia for lovers of aviation and beyond.

The subject matter of my work is easier to explain. I attended my first airshow at just months old and an obsession was born. I was the kid saving my money for airplane models and drawing planes whenever I had a pencil in my hand. My path was clear and I would end up serving in Army Aviation, supporting air operations for Army helicopters.

I hope that even if you don’t hang one of my pieces in your home or office, you will learn something about aviation history and/or what it means to serve.

Services: Disney Vacation Planning

I have always been a lover of Disney, The Wizarding World and traveling to the most beautiful destinations. I had been traveling since I was child and loved every second of it, especially the food! When I moved to California for college I basically LIVED at Disneyland and had already been visiting Walt Disney World and Universal Studios since I was young child. I was hooked, so much so that I helped others around me navigate their way around the parks. My very first book I ever finished cover to cover was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone so when Universal opened up their little piece of the Wizarding World, I had to immerse myself in this experience and it only furthered my passion for the world and helping others enjoy their time.

I have always been that “Disney bestie”, “Harry Potter expert”, “go to gal” and “hey she knows about traveling” person for my family, friends and beyond. One day one of my best friends told me I should be getting paid for the amount of help I give to others and I thought she was crazy until she said “no this is a job; you can get paid to help people plan their vacations!” I had NO idea, I knew travel agents existed but travel agents specializing in Disney, Universal and other adventures, I NEVER knew was a thing. I finally found something that I am passionate about and can put my own nerd stamp on while helping families make their dream adventures come true. I am truly thankful for everyone who has booked with me over the last few years so much so that I was recently recognized in my agency, Mickey World Travel, as a Top Sales Producer! Never would I have thought that little girl reading Harry Potter and visiting Disney destinations would be here helping others fall in love with the experiences and opportunities that have brought me so much joy! I hope I continue to flourish and bring magic to more especially those in the military community because there are so many opportunities that await them and their families.

Services: Business Consulting

Courtney and I (Suzanne) are both military spouses. Both of us had spent years being support personnel for small businesses, changing jobs every time our duty station changed. Concho Consulting is our way of taking our experiences and first, sharing it with the world, but second (and more selfishly) having something that’s our and we can take it with us when we move.

A lot of people ask why we’re called Concho Consulting. We wanted a name that meant something to us. We met at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, TX located in the Concho Valley. Our husbands are different branches, but our duty stations have been eerily similar: East Coast, Florida, Overseas, Texas. We were always close to meeting, but didn’t actually meet until we were both in a place where we could launch this company. Since our launch in January 2023, we have supported over 40 different small businesses, and we are so excited to continue on this path of small business support!

Haley Marie lives a fearless life. The trials of becoming an officer in the United States Air Force and the successes of an accomplished NFL Cheerleader gave birth to an extraordinary character; daring, free, and ahead of her time. Her thirst for culture, discovery and travel has helped shape her personality. Her vision for a wardrobe free from constraints and shapelessness, tweaked with tactical accents, created a visionary allure that is timeless and wildly modern. Boots and camo casually paired with iconic bodysuits have created a signature style… That of a modern day woman, a pioneer whose lifestyle and multiple facets forged the values of the brand she founded, and who will forever inspire all women warriors.

Products: Custom Woodworking

I got into woodworking in 2020 while in South Dakota.  When it is gusting 40+ mph winds and freezing cold out, there isn’t a whole lot to do especially when you are limited on the places you can go due to a global pandemic so I think I stumbled on a simple cutting board YouTube video and gathered the supplies needed and went from there.  Since then, I’ve used woodworking as an outlet much like I would with running.  Even though power tools are noisy, I found I can think through a lot with some earphones on and the sander or saw going at full blast.  As an introvert (at least that’s what all the tests I’ve taken in the Air Force have told me), I need a small group of close friends or alone time to recharge and think through things.  Both running and woodworking have offered me that opportunity.
Once we moved to the DC area, I found I had a little more time on my hands than previous assignments and while my family appreciates the quality products I make, we were outgrowing our cabinet space for cutting boards so my wife, who was already a Spouse-ly vendor, recommended I open a shop.  I opened one up in March 2023 and love turning someone else’s vision into a long-lasting custom product they and their families can enjoy.  I can’t recall how I came up with my shop name and logo, but more than likely it involved me on my porch with a cigar and bourbon during a nice evening one day and it just came to me.

Products: Custom & Unique Gifts

In 2020, needing a creative outlet while the world paused, I received my first laser engraver/CNC machine and started creating. Quickly, my passion for the art of laser engraving and design grew through trial and error and after much encouragement from friends and family, I decided to venture outside of my comfort zone and share it with the world through starting a small business, Hangar Fly. At Hangar Fly, I tell stories through custom items, translating ideas and people’s memorable moments into unique pieces of art!  Let my unique vision, passion for story-telling, design and engraving service memorialize your latest accomplishment or most appreciated memory. I love creating custom designs and engraving on a variety of canvases including glass, wood, bone, leather, metal, stone, etc. Whether you are in need of a custom decanter set, an ornate cow skull, or art and furniture made from airplane parts and military surplus, I can create a unique item that you will treasure. At Hangar Fly, each item is individual and should capture its owner’s personality. That’s why I aim to learn your story and turn your imagination into reality.

Both my logo and mascot are inspired by the Women Airforce Service Pilots, WASP, of WWII and modern military aviators.

The logo was drawn to invoke a feeling of nostalgia. Depending on viewpoint, the silhouette of the female aviator could be modern or vintage. Her flight suit, leather jacket, and the illusion of wings and semblance of both a modern helmet and vintage flight goggles invoke a shared sisterhood that transcends time through the shared love of aviation and art of storytelling. The hangar is designed to replicate the WASP hangar at Avenger Field.

The mascot, Hazel the Fly Girl, is inspired by modern military aviators and the WASP mascot, Fifinella. Instead of a gremlin, she is a literal Fly Girl. She is named after WASP Hazel Ying Lee who was the last of 38 WASP’s who died in service to their country.

I grew up a military child my whole childhood, joined the Army when I was 21 as a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic and crew chief, married my soldier in 2010, and we honorably discharged in late 2013.  We have two boys, two kitties and live in Central Texas, outside of Fort Hood.  I’ve always been a writer, though I had never attempted children’s stories.  When I put my military family heritage together with my writing, The Peppered Sky was born.  This story is inspired by some of my fondest memories of watching my dad perform as a jumpmaster in his Army Airborne training operations.  I have several other stories lined up, waiting for the funding to be published- each written from the perspective of a military child.  My educational background is elementary education and business.  When I was made aware of the incredibly under-represented military child in literature, I knew something had to be done.  My heart is so full finally finding a way to serve the military community again.  My hope is to inspire warmth, joy and understanding for military children.
Book:The Peppered Sky celebrates military family life with Haleigh and Mason as they adventure into a world of airborne drop zones, military aircraft and U.S. paratroopers!  The heart-warming story is educationally extended with included discussion questions, journal prompts, and a craft to promote critical thinking, creative writing and STEM-based learning.  The Peppered Sky is a 32 page, hardcover, first edition book that will be treasured by readers of all ages for years.

I’m a pursuer of a better world, a dad, and obviously a military spouse (yes, some service members are married to males, like my wife who’s an Army nurse!) From my loneliness and isolation struggles as a new dad living in the middle of nowhere during the early pandemic, I set out on a mission. With a community as big and strong as ours, there is NO reason anyone should feel alone. But actually, there are MANY reasons spouses feel this way, and I’m breaking down those barriers. With a friend by your side, you have the umph to do anything from simply getting out of bed, to taking on the world. But alone, people break into shambles.

First I created the Kovii video chat app which lets you notify your close friends or family anytime you have a pocket of time, but aren’t sure who else happens to be free right then. No one wants to schedule casual calls, and no one wants to interrupt or play phone tag. Finally, we can know when it’s a good time to talk to someone WITHOUT having to schedule anything (because really, as a mil spouse or parent, that’s basically impossible.) Quit the scrolling… it’s a good time to connect more personally. With who? I don’t know… you don’t know… but with Kovii, you’ll find your friend who happens to also want to talk right then.
Recently I made the MilSpocial.com web app, which is a swipe-to-match app for friends. Pretty basic concept… half of us met our spouses on Tinder after all, why not swipe for friends, too? On the app we also host Speed Friending Virtual Events which are fantastic for quickly finding friends with personalities that click with yours.
In everything my volunteer team and I do, we don’t settle for the status quo. It doesn’t cut it. People deserve better. People need friends, and we are relentlessly trying new things to find what REALLY works.

In 2018 after spending several years overseas, we moved to Las Vegas. As a stay-at-home Mom, I was
searching for something to call my own. That’s when “Roots and Wings” was born. I started by selling
items such as personalized doormats, can coolers and customized mugs. As I became more comfortable
with the idea of selling online and a little bit of encouragement from my husband, I bought my first laser
engraving machine. Since then, our little business has expanded quite a bit. A lot of our items are heavily
influenced by our family’s background in aviation and our son’s love for fast jets. Custom orders are my
absolute favorite because I get the opportunity to help make someone’s vision come to life.

Spouse-ly is such a fun platform and I look forward to working alongside the many other vendors.

Hi My name is Ruth Parker and I am a realtor in Central Texas. Our team name is Hearthstone Home Group I All City. I formed this partnership with two fabulous women in April of 2021 and we have a sisterhood that is hard to find in business. Our team immediately began to grow in June 2021 and we are so thankful God gave us this opportunity to serve our community together. We have a slogan, Serving Hearts and Selling Homes, and we work very hard to maintain relationships with our clients long after the closing table.

I am a retired military spouse and we have one daughter still in high school. When we moved to this area 4 ½ years ago I had no idea that becoming friends with my realtor would lead me to become one myself. As you all know, military and having a career don’t necessarily go hand in hand so to finally have an opportunity to have a career was exciting. Besides real estate, I love to hunt and fish and just be with my family and friends. Texas is a great place to live and I love helping others make it home too!

“In short, I’m a military spouse with a passion for creativity.

Born and raised in small town, south Alabama, I was always looking for the best way to express myself— whether it was through art, fashion, writing, design, etc. In 2016, I found myself with a BA in Advertising from the University of Alabama and a fiancé in San Diego, CA. I put my career on hold as we stumbled our way through flight school followed by a cross-country move to Beaufort, South Carolina. My passion for design took more of a back seat while I spent the next three years in social media management, digital marketing, and SEO copywriting. However, in my spare time, I began creating holiday cards, housewarming, and baby shower invitations for friends and family. When I came to a crossroads in my career and the start of our second deployment, I finally decided to take the leap, and start my own business doing what I love!

And that, my friends, brings you to Caroline Heeren Creative

I am an Army spouse and currently live in Fort Lee Virginia with my husband, 14-year-old daughter, and 2 Chihuahuas. My husband and I started dating in high school back in 1998 and married in 2003. My husband has been in the Army since 2007 and we have lived in quite a few places. My educational background is in Veterinary Nursing and I worked in that field until my daughter was born.

I knew I wanted to find a flexible career so I could stay at home with my daughter during the frequent deployments. I knew I loved art and creating makes me feel calmer and happy. I started with a photography business because I loved lifestyle photography. I also started playing around with different jewelry-making techniques. I started selling my jewelry 2 years ago and it’s grown ever since. I see jewelry designing as miniature wearable art and it can help you express yourself and your unique interests and style. All my jewelry is inspired by nature just due to my connection and love for the outdoors and the peace that nature can give. I am always getting inspiration by hiking and walking trails, and being military I have had the chance to go to so many different natural places. I work with quite a few materials and techniques because I can’t choose just one. Sweetellabella is a nickname I call my daughter.

Hi, I’m Audra. I’m an Army spouse of 10 years, a displaced Texan, a teacher-turned-home educator, and a mom of 3. I began making fun, educational activities for my oldest when he was a toddler, and now it brings me joy to share them with other families as well.

Creating provides me a consistent outlet that helps me navigate the stresses of daily life and our ever-changing military lifestyle.

My products are inspired by the “abundant feast” of our homeschool journey and my desire to help create happy moments of educational play in your child’s day. I work to ensure all items I make meet CPSC safety requirements for children’s toys, enabling you to purchase with confidence.

Hi, I’m Mel! A former Army medic turned Gold Star Family widow caring for our six-year-old son. My late husband was a student in SWCS (John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School) working towards becoming a Special Forces medic when he passed. We unfortunately had spent a lot of time separated due to issues with his unhealthy coping and unwillingness to seek help.

In my book I share about our story, the not so heard of stories when it comes to unhealed trauma, and the ways failure to seek help can destroy one’s life entirely. As I’ve worked on the book, so many military friends of his have shared great stories about his compassion and wholehearted acts, especially as their medic on deployments. It’s been heartbreaking yet healing to hear from others.

My hope in sharing my story through this book is that it can help bring an empathetic side to addiction, ptsd, and the importance of getting the help needed. But also to show that many of us are suffering quietly with our own darkness within. This was never a story I thought I would be sharing, but I know that the benefits of sharing it will be so worth it.

Aside from writing and publishing this book, I run a podcast called From Grief to Gold where I share my journey of healing from grief and ways to continue living despite the hard times in addition to a whole health based health coaching and wellness blog, Naturally Mel.

Hi, I’m Theresa! I am a Christian, pilot wife, and dog/cat mom. I enjoy vanilla lattes and long walks through Hobby Lobby. My husband and I got married when we were 21 and had no intention of ever being a military family. A couple years into our marriage, my husband decided to pursue his childhood dream of being a fighter pilot. It was tough to give up the stability of civilian life, but God has blessed us in so many unexpected ways through this journey.
I started cross-stitching in 2018, after seeing an ad for the Stitch People pattern book. After stitching a portrait of my family, I was hooked and I started making portraits for just about everyone I knew. This kept me busy while my husband was at OTS, our first extended time apart. After our first PCS, I decided to take a break from working as a medical assistant and turn my hobby into something more. So at the end of 2019 I took a leap of faith and started my business!
Cross stitching is not only a hobby and business for me, it is a way to bring a little bit of joy to other people and make them feel valued.

More than a decade ago, I said ‘I do’ to my high school sweetheart who had just enlisted into the
US Navy. I was also still in my birth country, Ghana in West-Africa.

I had no clue what I was doing or how my life would evolve migrating to the US, starting, or
raising a family while my sailor deploys several months throughout the year, moving every 2-3
years to a new state or country and pursuing a meaningful career. The navy has sent my family to
Japan, Virgina, Florida and recently Nebraska in the last ten years.

I have spent those ten years of my life training, coaching, and mentoring childcare professionals
to provide quality childcare to military children in the different branches of the Military Child
and Youth Programs (CYP) as a Training and Curriculum Specialist. Reading to the children I
worked with and supporting the caregivers to be the best version of themselves brought me the
greatest joy and fulfilment at work.

In the year 2021, I gathered all my experience, my journal entries and stories from fellow
military spouses and published my first award- winning book titled Growing Your Family:
Learn How To Flourish and Thrive as a Military Family.
My chief goal was to share something authentic, raw and one that offers hope and actionable
solutions to fellow military spouses and their families.

My business or service is more than writing but also tailored towards coaching other military
spouses to pursue meaningful careers. I own Greight Company Limited, LLC
(www.greightcompany.com). A career coaching and corporate training solutions for individuals,
teams, and organizations.

My corporate training program is uniquely designed to bring the best in employees, change
workplace culture and to charge leaders to grow their staff. Our popular trainings include
diversity in the workplace, effective communication, teambuilding skills, employee engagement
and conflict resolution strategies.

Product: Brave Knight Teddy Bear

We are an Army family, my husband Rob retired as a Colonel. I am also sadly a Gold Star family member, my brother Captain Kevin Norman (USMA Class of 96)  was killed while serving in the Army. My husband and brother were born protectors, it is a theme in our life so it makes sense that we created a product to help protect children from nightmares and fear.  The idea for this product came from a real need for my own son while my husband was deployed. My little guy was missing his favorite protector and was scared each night. This lack of sleep was affecting our whole family and one night after being up multiple times I came up with the idea for the first Brave Knight. As a former school psychologist I knew he needed to learn coping skills to help deal with his anxiety before it grew.

I created a solution for my son by allowing him to talk about what scared him and more importantly give those worries and fears up to his Brave Knight. This simple act of giving up those fears and worries stops the cycle of anxiety and allows children to feel empowered to overcome their worries. Our Brave Knight has grown from those early days to an award winning product that comes as a kit with a Brave Knight teddy bear, a projecting flashlight that shines 8 images in the closet and under the bed to clear the room of anything scary and a storybook that tells the tales of the Brave Knights.  The nightly routine of giving up the worries, clearing the room of anything scary empowers the children to be in control of their fears and gain confidence.

We are a mission driven company that supports military families and our community. We donate a portion of all our sales to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to help military families when they need it the most. We also donate our kits to our local hospitals to help children who have been admitted to the hospital.   Purchasing a Brave Knight Kit can help your little one sleep peacefully and you will be helping another family get some peace as well.

I was born and raised outside of Kansas City, MO, and attended college at the University of Central Missouri, where I graduated in 2018 with a degree in Graphic Technologies (print and design). That is also where I met my now husband, Derek, who was getting his undergrad degree and participating in the ROTC program. At that time, I was singing and performing with a country band and was looking for an acoustic guitar player, and as fate would have it, my husband plays guitar and that is how we got connected. We have been together ever since! After getting his undergrad and receiving his Army commission in 2016, Derek was then accepted for an educational delay to attend law school at the University of Kansas (Kansas being where my husband is from!). After 3 years of law school, applying for JAG, getting married in June of 2019, then stressing out waiting to hear from JAG, led us to being quarantined in a hotel room together while he attended JAG School. That of course brought us to our first PCS, during a pandemic may we add, and arriving to Fort Campbell in May of 2020! Whew – it was definitely an interesting start!
However, like so many others, I struggled to find a job and was getting really discouraged because I had this degree that I wasn’t using. So I took matters into my own hands and started my business Graceful Leo Designs in August of 2020 – yes, I am Leo! I create wooden earrings, tassel keychains, wall decor, as well as offer my design services. It honestly started out as a “let’s try this and see how it goes” and has continued to grow and I am so incredibly grateful for the support I have been given! All of my wooden pieces for my earrings are sourced from another Army spouse, so is a win-win! I have always loved working with my hands, being creative, and find so much joy in bringing an idea/vision to life. Being able to have my own business that I can then take anywhere the Army sends us is something that I am very appreciative and thankful for. I have grown to love the military community so quickly and couldn’t imagine life any other way!

Hi, I’m Lia! Newer to the military spouse life (we got married in the craziness that was 2020!) but my soldier and I have been together for over four years. My husband went to a military college and I…did not, but our schools were about an hour apart. That was the start of the role distance would play in our relationship, but also the start of my favorite love story.
This photo was taken after we had been  apart again, and while distance played a role here too, so did our love (like a lot of military couples) through video calls and late-night talks.
We’ve had our months apart before and after this, and we know there will be months apart to come this year too, but it truly does make us appreciate our time together that much more. My husband plans to be a “lifer” as they say – and to his credit I’ve known that since we started dating – so God willing we will both be in this for the long-haul, together.
I am so excited for what’s ahead in our life, his career and in my new business specializing in brand photography and content strategy. I never planned to start a small business, but living the military life at our first duty station set me on this path and there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.  I am so thankful for Spouse-ly and the community it is creating for all of us. After all, we’re better together.

Service: Sawgrass Marketing

Growing up near the Forgotten Coast of the Florida Panhandle, I’ve always had an affinity for the natural beauty of untouched coastline, especially marshy inlets where the sawgrass marshes and pine trees hug the coast. So when the Marine Corps moved our new family to Wilmington, North Carolina, the nostalgic landscape inspired me to share with local businesses how to create natural, authentic brands.
My path to entrepreneurship wouldn’t have begun without an epic love story. My husband and I met in Washington, DC shortly after he graduated from the Naval Academy. My corporate marketing career was in full swing, with frequent promotions and opportunities for international travel. And while my then boyfriend left for Pensacola for flight school, I stayed in DC to carve a path up the executive ladder. The time passed quickly but after 4 years of long distance dating, we got engaged and I decided it was time to move.
While entry-level marketing positions were plenty in the area, I didn’t want to recycle the 6 years of experience I had worked so hard for in DC. So shortly after the move, Sawgrass Marketing was born.
In the past three years, my business has expanded to a team of four supporting over 25 companies large and small across the United States; all while getting married and welcoming two little girls into our family. I can only imagine where the next three years takes us, as we’re now focused on supporting luxury experiences and opening a “new office” in Iwakuni, Japan!

Service: Financial Coaching

Hi, my husband and I met while we were both serving in the military. We both plan to stay in for life. We were stationed in Hampton Virginia at Langley Air Force Base and we decided to buy a house. we both had a study income we were both in the military we both didn’t think anything about money or debt. We had a few credit cards we took out a loan for a wedding but we thought that was all normal. We both had brand new cars and as long as we could make our payments we were good. So then I was put up for a medical evaluation board. I had been put up a couple of times so I thought like normal I was just going to be returned to duty and move on with my life. That didn’t happen. I was going to be separated from the military. That was an October. In December I found out I was pregnant. My husband decided to apply for a job in Las Vegas and I had been in for 11 years at that point and never saw anybody who applied actually get the job they applied for. So he applied for the special duty assignment and he actually got it. So now it’s it’s February and I’m supposed to get out of the military in 2 months and we have to PCS and I don’t have a job and I’m pregnant. So I had no idea what we were going to do with all of our stuff.

I heard about Dave Ramsey when I was active duty from this guy I worked with and thought it was kind of a crazy idea of the zero-based budget thing. I didn’t really get it or see the purpose. But now I was at a point where we are going to be underwater if we don’t change something fast. I didn’t know what that was until I was hanging out at my sister’s job. This guy walked in and was talking about how he was paying off his credit cards and he was buying everything in cash and getting out of debt. I was super curious and wanted to know more. So he told me that his wife was teaching a course and that we should take it. So I looked up her course and it was going to be the same month that we were set to leave Virginia. So I bought the online version and Austin and I took it that night. We did it faster than the 8 weeks because we need to have a plan. So cut to 3 years later we have paid off all of our debt we went from brand new cars to 20-year-old cars we paid over $106,000 and we’ve taught FPU three times and are now financial coaches through Dave Ramsey and are growing a coaching business on the side. Getting out of debt changed our lives and we want to change other people’s lives. We’ve taught 500+ people how to change their financial futures.

Hi, I’m Jen: wife, mother, artist, coffee snob, anxiety riddled adventure seeker, and always on the hunt for new activities that will open my daughters’ eyes that the world is much bigger than our phones. If you can’t find us, we are probably hiking. (if it’s been more than a week, please send help… note “anxiety riddled” above)

I have been a dependent of the Air Force for 29 of my 32 years, first under my father and then with my husband, making our trek to Utah my 13th move and 10th state to live in. As the daughter of a career officer, I watched my mother make lasting impressions at every base we were located at, whether it be for her fabulous Bourbon Slush recipe or her innate ability to always know when another spouse, family, or individual needed an extra hand. She instilled in me that while many things will go in and out of style, the act of sending handwritten notes will never be one of those things. Such a seemingly simple act can have a huge impact on people ensuring that they feel seen, heard or remembered.

In today’s world where time is scarce, we are becoming increasingly disconnected thanks to social media. It’s now more important than ever to be intentional with our relationships. In my attempts to always try and find the perfect card for the perfect occasion, I found myself designing my own.

A common phrase among military spouses is “bloom where you are planted.” Our family has always tried to take this to the next level by becoming fully immersed in each and every place we live, enjoying and getting to know the local culture and finding new adventures available to us. Being stationed in Utah has been nothing short of incredible, which is how Brushwork Impressions was born. I combined my passion for handwritten cards with thoughtful gift giving and love of watercolor, inspired initially by the diverse landscapes of Utah.

It is my goal that I can help you create a lasting impression wherever you may wander.
