**this particular moonstone is AB coated also known as angel aura- AB is an iridescent coating that gives a subtle shimmer. It is named after the Aurora Borealis, the fabulous Northern Lights. The stone is coated with titanium or a similar metal. The coating is only microns thick and gives the gemstone a beautiful rainbow sheen.**
