I will never forget seeing two V-22 Ospreys for the first time in Iraq circa 2008. Part helicopter and part airplane, these tiltrotor aircraft have become synonymous with Marine Corps combat operations during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Osprey is an engineering marvel and like the actual bird, they are fascinating to observe.
