Hi!! I’m Katt, the military spouse and dog mom behind Jolly Holiday Yarns. I’m an avid crocheter and knitter, but there’s nothing more exciting than a package of bare yarn! I love the never-ending possibilities that come with yarn dyeing. I’m inspired by everything from everyday items around me to cosplay to our traveling adventures. You’re likely to see every color in the rainbow in my shop.
Jolly Holiday’s Story
I jumped on the crochet train back in 2012, starting with a giant Double Crochet not-so-square blanket made from Bernat Blanket Yarn.
The not-so-square crochet blanket
I was immediately hooked! I dove into the world of acrylic and cotton yarns, making enough blankets in a year to yarn-bomb a 2-story house. I continued to create amigurumi, a baby blanket, and even a set of laundry baskets.
In 2018, we were stationed in Germany, and finding yarn I liked was difficult! I had a lot of trouble finding shops that carried the brands and colors I preferred. After a chance encounter with two amazing fiber artists (now fiber-besties), I took the plunge into the world of knitting and the Wild World of Wool. I quickly fell in love with the delicious bases but was again disappointed in the colors available.
Mr. Holiday modeling the first sweater I knit… It was waay too small!! HAHA
I ended up down a YouTube rabbit hole that led me to the ChemKnits YouTube channel. Rebecca was experimenting with food coloring, sports drinks, and popsicles as sources of yarn dye! She created terrific colorways with items I already had in my home! So I had to try it!
My first dyeing attempt was with red and green food coloring. It looked like Christmas threw up! HAHA
It’s not pretty, I call it Christmas Camo.
Yet again, I was hooked. I quickly moved from food coloring to commercial dyes, discovering an entirely new world of colors, patterns, and possibilities. Thus, Jolly Holiday Yarns was born!
Now I get to create beautiful, unique yarns that make you smile.

Shipping Policy
Processing Time
I appreciate your order; I strive to ship your purchases within 3 weeks of your order date unless otherwise noted. I do not keep any dyed stock; this allows me to personalize and customize my yarns just for you. I dye in small batches to keep the color and pattern consistency high.
Please remember that Jolly Holiday Yarns is a small, one-woman-run business that operates within the crazy military lifestyle. In addition to Jolly Holiday, I have a second part-time job. I work very hard to keep my orders running smooth but occasionally life does get in the way. I make sure to keep open communication with you to provide you with the best service and product possible.
Can you combine orders?
Yes, and we’ll refund any shipping differences as appropriate.
Help! I’ve forgotten to add an item to my order, or I’ve ordered the wrong items!
Simply send me an email and I would be happy to fix your order. Please note that changes to your order may change the amount you are charged for shipping or the day your package ships.
Where and How do you ship?
I promise to get things out as quick as I can and I ship packages weekly – I know how exciting it is to get happy mail! Please keep in mind that I am one person behind this business and while I try my absolute hardest to get things out on time, sometimes things can be delayed due to life, but very rarely!
If you are located in Rochester, MN local pickup is available. The pickup address will be sent after your order is complete.
Jolly Holiday Yarns currently ships to the United States, Canada and the EU. We will also ship to APO & PO boxes. We are not currently shipping to the UK or to countries not within the EU. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. Free shipping is available within the United States only for orders over $150.00 before taxes.
If you are located in a country where we are not currently shipping feel free to contact us to see if shipping is possible. We are always happy to review the available options.
We currently ship our packages with DHL, UPS & USPS. All packages come with Tracking. The tracking number will be emailed to you once the package has shipped.
Customs
I ship internationally. However, I am not responsible for any customs fees you may have to pay if you are outside of the US , to release your item from customs. We have zero control over customs fees. This price can range due to the region you live in. Shipping fees are non-refundable should the package be refused for any reason. Your package will be marked as merchandise and include an invoice. It is illegal for us to mark your purchase as a “gift” - please do not ask!
Refund Policy
If you have a problem with your order, please, please contact me. I put my heart into every yarn I create, and your happiness is very important to me!
Damages & Other Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Cancellation Policy
Return Policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
CUSTOM AND ONE-OF-A-KIND ORDERS CAN NOT BE RETURNED.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, please message us. If your return is accepted, we’ll send instructions on how and where to send your package. You are responsible for return shipping. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too
